Guest Lord B
I'm thinking of having the brl on my cz 17hmr shortened to 16.5 inches from the 19in it is now. Primeraly for practical reasons re manouverability for shooting out of the LR etc; it does and will have an SAK mod fitted My .22 has been cut to 16.5 and is spot on. I know all the tech spec stuff, but would apreciate some feedback from anyone who has done the same. Thanks, Quote Link to post
young1982 1
Mate, if you don’t get much luck through this site try going to www.rimfirecentral.com and becoming a member of the forum, I’d used this it to researching glass/pillar bedding my CZ 452 and found loads on the subject. Every other day someone posts something about shortening a barrel so I’d highly recommend it. Hope this helps Quote Link to post

Deker 3,491
CZ introduced a 16" barrel option on some of their models a year or two back. Almost everyone has them cut down is for practical/manouverability reasons. The difference in power and accuracy will be very small cut down, so as long as the job is done "professionally" enjoy! Guest bruno527
the velo from this rifle , need to be central & constant..the longer the barrel the more consistancy, 16.5 may work but 18 is better.........just my h .o Quote Link to post
