Tilly looking bad in parts of Alberta

How far from you mate ?

do you mean the bush fire? its quite a few hours away from us in fort mcMurray..but yeah it is a bad one, the worst in history, the good news is, no one has got hurt, but a lot of people have lost everything, there putting people up in community centres, hostels in Edmonton, a couple grabbed there two Shetland ponies and put them in the back of there truck along with some stray dogs running around, there going to find the owners when they get to Edmonton,

How have the Canadians taken to you's

Are they friendly sorts

Stand offish?

Stuck up ?

That's what I'd miss

Up in the North East folk really are salt of the Earth.

they are fine to us, quite friendly, but more friendly over on vancouver island, city life is always more stressful than the countryside, city life people all over the world normally keep them selves to themselves, they really love the English ascent, i was out saturday and ordered some food, the woman said to me..."i'm loving your ascent"...i said your not the first to say that, i'm sure you won't be the last.... she said to me, "if you need anything else...i'm here all day" with a big smile and fluttering eye lashes.... :D and the same happened in a coffee bar...i ordered two coffee's..as you do..and the young girl said "your ascent,i'm loving it, talk to me, talk to me she said" she went a bit gooey, so i told her, the other cup of coffee is for my wife....doh....and then, believe it or not, a lot of then have trouble understanding me...some of our sayings back home, they haven't got a clue about, and terminology is another barrier to get use to, there are so many different nationalities hear, so its easy to get on with people, there driving here is atrocious tho, they would never survive in britain without getting into a road rage situation.....the brits wouldn't stand for it, you can learn to drive a car here, at 14, and someone over 18 can sit with you who has no convictions......of course they think they can drive....but they can't, but, apart from that they have been ok, but it doesn't matter where you go in this world...i can guarantee you....there will always be a handful of arseholes somewhere,
