a little mooch

me and dad decided to have a walk out today with fly ,fern and the ferret,loaded with a few nets we were hoping to find a few burrows .After a little walk to a wood which is situated next to a big lake there were obvious signs of rabbits.we had a little walk through the woods but couldnt find any warrens so we moved onto the edge of the wood where dad spotted a few holes.with a closer inspection we could see there were about 15 holes.we netted up the more used holes and entered the ferret and within a few minutes our first rabbit hit our net.we ran the ferret through the other holes but no more action.we moved on towards the car and spotted another bunny 40 -50 yrds out.so i walked the pups up behind the squatting bunny and dad placed himself were it was heading to get some good footage,a few feet closer i got and the rabbit lifted.a nice little run ,a turn and it was quickly picked up by fly.heres a few pics and a little video to follow.

thanks everyone ,frank hopefully next season with the aid of a gun.bigredbusa the two pups are litter sisters 1/2 grey ,1/4 whippet ,1/8 deerhound ,1/8 collie .heres a link to a earlier post with pics of the sire and dam.
