ldh 0 Posted December 6, 2007 Report Share Posted December 6, 2007 You'd be best off shot blasting them then spray with etching primer then spray whatever colour you want them i had a grotty set of wellers on my hilux a while back and found that an angle grinder with a wire brush did an excellent job of cleaning them up prior to painting ,grinder was £15 from b&q and the brush was a fiver so didnt cost me much but did take all day to do, the other option , which isnt as cheep , would be to find an electro platers or fabricators and have them acid strip them or sand blasted ,hope this helps lee Quote Link to post Share on other sites
