i'm looking for a new camcorder and i've heard people talking about DVD-R, does anyone know if this type of camcorder record onto a standard size DVD or is it a mini DVD ?

It records onto a mini dvd 80mm.

Dont think so. Other than the amount of time that the mini dvd's hold, dvd-r's i think 1/2 hour , they play in any dvd player that the large ones will. Look at your dvd player (drawer) there is a smaller inset, thats where the mini dvd is placed.

no i have'nt the space for another bluey theres more fanny in the cupboard than there is in town on a saturday night :11: :11:

i've been using an old camcorder when i've been going lamping...but the picture quality is'nt brilliant so i'm gonna invest in a new one.....hopefully at the end of the season i should have some good footage to transfer onto DVD .
