bryn27 89
Huge mother of all mole hill sitting proud above some old hills. Had me perplexed to say the least as I approached, probed it and found multi runs 10 to 18 inches around it. was enough muck up top to half fill a wheel barrow no probs,so I decided to skim the hill and the surrounding 3ft of grass around it. I found spaghetti junction with 5 runs and 3 dead ends in total around the hill. Never seen such a large spoil heap before and no way could I get a duffus in as there wasn't a stretch straight enough.so I tracked back 6 ft and placed 5 talpex right around the hill and in all the runs I could find. lets see what Thursday throws up and I'll have the camera this time. BRY 79
Called a Mole Fortress , was there a nest inside it ? Quote Link to post
bryn27 89
nah it wasn't a fortress as you usually see them, more a huge mound with nothing in it but a vast network of tunnels branching off 360 degrees and most at different depths. Ground is so wet here at present and it popped up on a shelf part of the field so maybe a nest in the process of construction. I only left this field alone for 8 days or so before returning today always been a very productive field regards catching down on the lower slope. Quote Link to post
bryn27 89
If it's popped back up by Thursday i'll drop a magnum down it and see what the result is, should get some good smoke up. Edited November 24, 2015 by bryn27 Quote Link to post
