matt1979 766
Haven't been able to get the young SLT birch out much of late as she had a really bad phantom that developed some complications and ended up with 3 days at the vets and what's looking like being spayed. Anyone work any spayed bitches it isn't something I normally do. Have got an old pet bitch that was spayed late on due to a womb infection an it doesn't appear to have changed her (if anything she's done better since). Just after people's experiences. I don't really have much choice as it seems the only sensible option health wise for her. The vet is a family friend and I trust his judgement on this one, as I know they are often all too keen to recommend spaying etc atb Quote Link to post
krawnden 1,036
I've worked two spayed bitches (but not terriers - one was a gundog, t'other was a deerhound) and it didn't make a jot of difference to how they performed in the field. Can't honestly see how or why it should affect them in that way... Quote Link to post
