Quick Outing With Hmr

Recommended Posts

Went out other night with Cz 452 hmr as not had it out for a bit got my home made night vision kit .

Got to my permission that runs down the side of a massive railway embankment so the rabbits are usually out soon as the night sets in but this time they have been doing some work on the railway and been digging the embankment so nothing was out for first 300yards thinking that my night would be unsuccessful said to myself if I get to the high point of the field and can't see anything call it a night for the permission get to the highest part of the field and there was my first customer about 80yards it hadn't noticed us as the full moon was covered by a cloud got the sticks out stabled the crosshairs on it head controlled my breathing squeezed the trigger and the little 17 hit the target With the pop sound that the v shock makes as it expands (got a pic but better not post it as it made a mess ) before sending my mate to get it he could do with the exercise I scaned out further in to the field and the noise had made one stick it's head up to have a look it was staying put got the crosshairs on it then it went back down to feed which ment head shot was off after watching it for a bit it presented a shoulder shot as it quartered away squeezed the trigger and yet again hit true with a pop and it rolled over stone dead sent my mate down ( bolt out gun on floor first ) then I use him as a marker for ranger finder 112yards here is a pic of the second one can only show one side as the other side left hole as it came out by its neck

I suppose it will be the same. I shot the .22 in the shooting range and i feel it like an airgun :D (very nice confortable feeling).

Speaking of the price - in here a .22lr would cost between 30 and 100 GBP at max (second hand but very good condition).

All the best mate!

Bogdan
