harrycatcat 31 Posted November 7, 2007 Report Share Posted November 7, 2007 Just unscrew it from back of speedo on dash and then trace it to where it screws on to the gearbox then fit new cable in reverse. Simple for a young lad. cant find where it screws behind the dash though,i'm thinking the dash will have yo come off ??? i havnt a clue about cars though, this is my first ! You will be able to do it just take your time. usually its a case of remove the steering wheel, remove the trim arround the speedo/clocks then remove the speedo(complete unit) you can then dissconnect the speedo cable from the clocks, trace it down through the bulk head to the gearbox the dissconnect from the box and fit the new one in reverse.....well thats how the astras and cavaliers were done, ill have a look in my astra manual tonite and see if it covers your model hope this helps lee Quote Link to post Share on other sites
