Rimfireboy! 1,463
Well, I was having a bit of a mooch around yesterday after squirrels mainly, when I happened on a pair of barn owls sat in a tree just looking at me. After about twenty seconds or so, one flew off, then a few seconds later the other followed it. The second owl only flew about forty yards into another tree and sat watching me. Looking below where they had been perched there were a lot of droppings, and at the side of the droppings a collection of pellets. In the wall, about ten feet from the tree is this nest in a hole in the wall. Not sure if it's their nest as barn owls don't build a nest as such? But judging by the amount of droppings and the pellets below the tree, it looks like they've been spending a lot of time there.
