Guest ripstop
RIGHT THEN. JUST OVER NIGHT ALL 4 OF MY DOGS HAVE RUNNY NOSES AND ARE SNEEZING AND SHAKING THEIR HEADS. AT FIRST I THOUGHT EARMITES SO HAVE APPLIED NUSTOCK. WHAT COULD THESE SYMPTOMS BE, COULD IT BE A COLD AND NOT WANTING TO GO TO THE VETS FOR OBVIOUS REASONS WHAT ELSE CAN I DO. THE DOGS ARE EATING WELL FULL OF ENERGY NO RUNS ALLROUND GOOD HEALTH Edited November 5, 2007 by ripstop
Guest MOLLY
Everything i could find points to a foreign body in the nose.....but pollen dust etc can cause the same symptoms, especially since it is effecting all your dogs, have you changed the bedding recently or got the bedding from a different source? MOLL.

MOLL. CHEERS FOR THE REPLY MOLLY. THATS ALL I COULD FIND AS WELL. THE ONLY THING IVE CHANGED IS THE CLEANING SOLUTION FOR THE KENNEL. IVE STARTED USING SELSAN ON THE FLOORS AT A VERY DILUTED %. USED IT WITH GREYHOUNDS BEFORE AND NO BOTHER THERE. ONE OF THE TERRIERS IS KEPT IN THE HOUSE AND DIDNT HAVE SYMPTOMS UNTIL IN CLOSE CONTACT WITH MY OTHER TERRIER BITCH, WHICH NAKES ME THINK SOME TYPE OF COLD OR EARMITES
Guest Ditch_Shitter
Doesn't sound at all like ear mites to me, mate. One of my Dogs is / was prone to them. Shook his head, yes. And scratched at his ears. But sneezing and a runny nose? No. And he never cross infected any of the others either. Doesn't add up at all. I'd keep looking.
lawrence 657
sounds like it could be whatever your using to clean the kennels, bleach would produce symptoms like that if you returned the dogs to their kennels before the bleach has dried in. agree with ds it doesn't sound earmites. regarding mites , after having a very bad case of this a few years back i now do all the dogs ears very 2/3 months with thornit powder and have never had any problems from this. good luck getting it sorted.
