huntinglad123 3
Does anyone know why you get more shots per fill in a 22 surely if its a heavyer pellet it would use more air? Quote Link to post
Rez 4,961
It takes more air to get a smaller pellet moving. Less surface area, less weight etc. Thus more air is used getting it to travel at the correct speed... meaning less shots in a fill. 2 Quote Link to post
Murphydog 30
It's because a .177 pellet is lighter so it can have a faster fps speed and still be under 12ft lb compared to the heavier .22 pellet which needs a slower fps speed to stay under 12ft lb. Less speed equals less air. (Probably not worded great but I know what I mean, lol) 1 Quote Link to post
