Guest Ditch_Shitter
'Scrounging', mate? Don't ever be as lax as to think they're just 'Scrounging'! Do You live on a run down, inner council estate? Are ye on the chat? I'd doubt it. Nor was I. I lived in a Very up market area. Suffice to say my road was a " Drive " and my place looked across at a " Mews ". Smell the affluence? They f*ckin could! My semi detatched bungalow, with it's pristine postage stamp of front lawn, was worth a third and more again than the houses round the way, where hard working, honest men were raising their families in back to back terraces. I'll bet ye They never got the knock! No. Arsepca's just a money making machine, mate. Like HSUS. Only, unlike PETA, they've had the sense to work out that, if they manage to get their hands on and kill Every pet animal, there'll be no pets to 'Protect'. No illusion of a job to do. No money. That's why they'll spend tens of thousands of pounds on Demographic Surveys, to find where the spare cash lives. Then they'll knock there, with their hands out. Make Millions. Council estates? There they'll kick the door in and drag out some innocent families little pet Staffie for the local evening news. Makes their world go round. And, in the words of that old song; 'My god, how the money rolls in ....!'

Guest Ditch_Shitter
F*cking hell, Pitendall! That's a bit suss! Did they have Hi Viz vests on? Ones crawling all over my area did. Street clothes and back printed Hi Viz vests. Perhaps I just figured it wrong then and the b*stards really Are trying to put the squeeze on every dam home in the country? Point is though, whilst I don't imagine These idiots have the time to be trying to see over fences, it wouldn't take a lot to just put a tick on their little clip boards, against any address that they felt was obviously hostile to their overtures. I can just see the dossier being built up in Horsham now ..... Why else would they be trawling areas where they'd know residents aren't most likely to be signing away their income, by direct debit to a door knocking political party? cragman 2,812
Looks like they've jumped on the "phone-in" bandwagon..In the Express today you can phone in with your vote for your "Dog of the year". Run by the ARSEpca, they've got to be taking a slice of the money, surely?

david2363 42
These canvassers in the hiviz vests may not necessarily ARSEPCA people. The nspca and WWF etc contract out their fundraising.
