Tiercel 6,986 Posted November 27, 2014 Report Share Posted November 27, 2014 I have tried the Sapele sills for making a catapult, but one fork strike and they snapped. Saplele mahogany is a very brittle wood. You can tell that by the amount of dust it produces when sanding, it does not take stress well.
