AIRGUNNER 1
to be honest mate i really wouldnt bother with fly fishing wait till you are a bit more familiar with the river, you wanna get a rod about 8-11ft nothing to expensive a nice little reel. with 4-8lb line to go on it, you will need some weights or shots, floats and most importantly some hooks size 10 should be good. as for baits try bread, sweetcorn, worms, maggots, etc. or as bullterrier said maybe a spinner depending what you are going for. all this stuff you can get really cheap from ebay or your local tackle shop. hope this helps mate and if you get stuck or need some advice give me a shout will be glad to help. AIRGUNNER 1
as for a a licence mate its £3.25 for the day or £24.50 for the year and with that licence you can fish in rivers, lakes, canals. and on the permit side of it most rivers are free mate or if you get the landowners permission or join an anglers club. if theres no sign mate fish it.
