Bull&Ferret 12
Hi all, got a jill kit near a month ago, lovely girl thats coming on great. Realy happy with her. She is my first ferret. Not sure about her age but she is now 500 grams and putting on weight fine. Currently feeding her on pigeon breast and kibble mix. She also eats turkey and partridge. She is very handleable but sometimes does a bit of gnawing. Good with collar and training her with a dog whistle and drainage pipes. My questions are what vaccinations do you boys get for your ferrets? And will neutering have any detrimental effects on my jill when it comes to working her? Also my jill gets dirty ears when playing in the compost pile, what are the best ways of cleaning them? Thanks Quote Link to post
The one 8,612
Getting her neutered is a big operation for a jill but it wont affect her working ability ,and ive never vaccinated a ferret in fifty years and i can honestly say its never been a problem , the hairs in her ears should stop soil from going into her ears so dont go poking into them , 1 Quote Link to post
