paulf 820
only just seen this ,we used to follow the combine when cutting maize after the foxes as down the farm I work on there was always a few about come cutting time .. the first season we had 5 fox from 6 that came out the one got away by the skin of his teeth  the following season we cut 18 acres in that there were 10 fox the dog had 1 the combine ran one over the rest was shot ,they just happened to bolt the guns side .. on the last fox an old blokes beddie grey was chasing the fox which turned back in the last strip of maize ,the driver didn't see what was happening until it was too late the fox ducked under the combine at the last minute .the dog didn't and was caught in the jaws of the combine and killed instantly in front of me and my son ... so to answer your question yes we DID and no we wont do it again after what happened ..its not worth seeing what happened to that dog again .
