muddy210 34
Ive ferreted in the summer and like has been said can be very tedious work and murder on the hands with the briars and the nettles when my old hob found a nest he would just hammer the lot and move on he would not exit till he was happy every thing was dead or bolted. he was a sod for getting out sometimes only ferret the summer now if really needed id rather sit out with the rimmy during these months. The one 8,577
I used to take all of September off on holiday and try to get a good start on the ferreting but for the last three years ive gave up on that idea its like ferreting in the middle of summer now with the cover and rabbits still breeding as said far better lamping with the rimmy or snaring and trapping , till nearer October or even November now Quote Link to post
