smithwicks 182
Anyone else on here fish for them? I've only caught one this year which was only about a pound weight! Caught him on a little tazmainian devil in the river Barrow in St. Mullins. I find them a good sporting fish and enjoyable to fish for. What do yous think? Quote Link to post
neil cooney 10,416
I've often been tempted to go down but I've heard it can be shoulder to shoulder with lads casting across each other when the fish are running. Not my cup of tea. Is that true ? Quote Link to post
smithwicks 182
Yes it can be like that at times Neil, it attracts a lot of tourists too! I'm only 25 minutes away from it so it's handy for me that way. Quote Link to post
neil cooney 10,416
Yeh, it would be nice to fish for a species that is rare but I'm told there's less contact in a rugby match, LOL, so I'll think I'll pass. What are they like to eat ? Quote Link to post
