Guest Ditch_Shitter
Ok. I really should get a business web page up. I tried to use the FreeWebs place, figuring to sort my page out, then pay to go 'Pro', but it simply gave me shit from the start. F*ck them then. I'm looking for a Reliable outfit. One where I won't find 'The site might be experiencing difficulties ~ Please try later' every fourth time I check it. I need one with an HTML Editor that an idiot can use. I'm fine with Frontpage. I'd like something as good, but which doesn't produce stuff automatically barred from half the Hosts out there. What I Don't want is to have to choose from twenty pages of nasty little Templates. I'm perfectly capable of sorting out my own spacings, designs and borders, thankyou. I know where to put Buttons. I don't need 'off the peg' shit. I don't need Gigabites of space either. Few pages will be as much as I'll need. 1-5 sort of package. I'd sooner have the Bandwith. That's why I won't touch GeoCities. Soon as ye try to show ye mates, it runs out and locks up. F*cking useless. What I most of all don't want though is to shell out my £30 or what ever, get my URL and go there to be confronted with shit like " Root Folder " and realise I haven't the feintest idea what the hell to do with That! (Yeppers. I've done that before!) I want a site that will provide me with an Editor, with which I can draw up my own pages, to my own design. Then I want (Need) it to be piss simple to load that page onto their server. No drama. No assumptions that I'll know shit about what I'm doing - because I won't. I'm fine at 'Web Design'. I'm completely lost by how to get anything I've created into cyber space. That bit needs to be simple. Anyone know anything, please? Oh; And it MUST be pay for able by PayPal or Maestro. Preferance, naturally, given to an Irish outfit. I'll check out all leads.
