Cedric 132
I got to try my new 10/22 with a Pitch Black NV unit last night. It's a little wierd looking at an off-set screen rather than through a scope, also very difficult to judge distances, I found if the rabbit looked quite big it was in range. Picture was quite clear up to 50/60 yards, you could have picked out a fox easily at 100 yards but as magnification is only x5 picking an impact point on a rabbit was limited to closer ranges. Despite not being able to see me the little buggers soon scatered at the 'whump' of a .22 sub hitting their buddies so only got three with the NV. I used the ND3-50 green laser easily on 100 yard rabbits, again, it takes some getting used to. Managed 18 alltogether including dusk shooting with the Anshutz .22 and CZ hmr. The .17hmr is a noisy blighter in enclosed fields so I have orderd a Swift Precision Nightingale moderator in specific .17 calibre, it's had very good write-ups so we'll see how it performs. Apologies for pic quality, had to compress them loads ! 1 Quote Link to post
