Benn McIntyre 48
Hi all, I'm looking for a recipe for Rabbit Hash. I have a rabbit boiling at the moment. As I'm skint at the mo I'm looking for cheap easy recipes. I imagine a hash would be an easy/cheap dish as I don't really have much if a store cupboard at the moment. I had a google but couldn't see much, anybody point me in the right direction? Thanks, Benn
mushroom 14,284
Same as corned beef hash I would hazard. Another cheap recepie; Get a couple of bones from the butchers and boil them in water with garlic, chopped onion, the cores of a couple of peppers (seeds, stalk an' all) herbs and seasoning for a couple of hours, add the rabbit (either stripped or on the bone) and cook for another hour without a lid so it reduces the liquid (DO NOT LET IT BOIL), add veg of choice and cook in a casserole dish in the oven (not too hot 180 should be fine) for another couple of hours. Tip; if it's still a bit runny you can add a bit of gravy or a roux You can Google for different herbs and spice mixes to use and have a play around with the flavour.
