 Sorry to hear ye feel that way, H&J. Was that the South of England Show? Only I did the ferret stand there one time and actually remember that one show head and shoulders above any other of a great many I attended in my day. I found the variety and shift of emphasis from just Field Sports very refreshing. I guess, after year in, year out of the same old bloody trade stands, it just made a change for me.

Or maybe it's a completely different venue ye attended? Or it's just gone down the pan in the last quarter century since I was there? :hmm:

It was just called the 'Autumn show and game fair' was under the The South of England Agricultural society.

The thing that really got on my nerve, was smashed glass and bottles all over the main seating stand  Not good when I had the dog on me. Looked to me like they hadnt botherd to clean up from what ever the last show there was... I got there right in the morning so it wasnt done that day.

Not the most dog friendly show I have been to either, quite alot of places I couldnt go in.

Didnt take too kindly to a steward scruffing my young bitch either, especially as she can be abit nervy of strange men. She looked at one of their show pigeons. I meen look, not lunge or bark. Just a look and sniff of its cage :censored: To say I was livid is an understatement....

There were some ok stalls around, nice fella at the ferret stand. Sussex ferrets I think they were called.

Only £6.00 for an adult so its quite cheap compared to most, doubt I will go next year though.

H&J

Edit to say, On the way back from the show the car in front of us hit a pheasent so I got that for tea tommorow. Not all bad :D.

:hmm: Sounds of That, mate?

I mean, as far as I was ever aware, it's held on " The South of England Show Ground ". I mean, if they can't be arsed to clean that place up?

'Mind you; 'South of england'? Speaks for itself, really.
