mattwhite 1,993
Hi again fellas. As i said in my last post i would fine tune my zero today but there is a wee bit of breeze. Still, i am very happy with the results. The gun seems to love rws superdomes and with a 30 yard zero its consistantly grouping under a 5p from a rest. 40 yards did suffer half an inch to the right with the breeze but half a mildot correction saw another good 5p group and out to 50 yards with more alloance for the wind saw a nice 1 inch group of 20 shots. This really is the most accurate springer i have owned and i am as happy with its accuracy as i was with the s410 that i owned a couple of years ago. It hardly has any recoil and is very quiet too. Ok its on the weighty side but its all at the muzzle end and i actually quite like that. I hope other tx owners on here as just as pleased with theirs....now im off for some more target practice! Darkie69 76
Guessin it's a .177 but they are great guns to shoot, I would love to think what my .22 TX could do after a stage one tune as it shoots nice now without it. quite consistent at knocking down the rabbit HF target on the smallest setting at 35m. As I said before I think it would be very difficult to tempt me to another springer (unless a TX .177). Enjoy yourself Quote Link to post
mattwhite 1,993
@Darkie69 yes its a .177. Not that i dont like .22 i just like the flater flight path and i agree....i think only a tx in .22 could tempt me from my .177 at the moment. Shot at some targets after work tonight and just cant believe it keeps grouping 5p size at 30 and 40 yards. I need to push out to 50 on the targets now and get the group down tight as 30 and 40 yards. Quote Link to post
Darkie69 76
I don't think you'll be disappointed at all, you'll have to let me (us) know how you get on at the longer ranges, out of interest what scope you using? Quote Link to post
mattwhite 1,993
Im on a nikko sterling 3-9×40 mountmaster at the moment but may go a bit bigger next time. Quote Link to post
Darkie69 76
I'm using a similar size at the moment (brand unmentionable for fear of being laughed at) however changing to a nikko sterling Laserking (courtesy of Vizulak) 4.5-14 x 50 as soon as the mount arrives. going to have to go through chairgun all over again to set it up. But it will be worth it I think. Quote Link to post
