Jill Jab Time

Recommended Posts

Well it was that time of year again to get my four jills jabbed.

Usual local vet now wanted £87 to do all four that included a 'small animal inspection health check', phoned around hoping for a better offer and another came back with £170 :icon_eek:. Starting to despair at the costs and thinking about long term getting a hob done (that's £190 to do) or get the jills permanently neutered but that was £99 each!

Then one of the vets I had previously phoned called to say they could do all four for £38  , they are an out and out agricultural practice who use the drug a lot and even to occasional ferrets for free for the farmers sons when they do farm visits for good pr.

I know others will find cheaper in their area but if not it may be worth contacting an agricultural practice.

i was to vet they said the jill jab costs £9 and the consulting fee would be £25 so we are talking £31 per jill and i have 2 then as soon as they come into season it would cost the same

so i contacted a rescue center and got a hob that was vascomised for £40 hes done the job on both jill and he is a very nice ferret so will see how he works

so there is another option to concider
