Last Day Out

attachment=236530:photo.JPG]was asked by the keeper to go and clear some holes from the landowners driveway.

 

Although its normally passed when i would stop ferreting one of my jills is reliable enough not to hole up when young ones are about.

 

Arrived at the house and found only 4 holes in the small bank so netted up and put her in. Waited 5 mins and nothing,she came out one of the holes so i popped her into the lower of the four holes. Within seconds athe first one bolted,it must of run past the ferret as it came out of the same hole then another two came out from the other holes.

 

That was it from there she just kept on running in and out of every hole so i decided to move on. Found another 3 holes about ten yards up from the first ones and netted them up. Put her in and 3 out one after the other. I quicly put the nets back on as i could here the ground thumping and within another ten minutes had two more.

 

The holes never even looked used so in future il never discard any holes that look like no ones at home because you never know whats in there!!!

 

Anyway a nice quick 8 rabbits and pretty confident that its cleared them up from there,( for now anyway) and a happy guy whos flower beds shouldnt be getting sctractched up for a while.

Yes all filled in and left neat and tidy. May have picked up a bit more permission as well. Just need to make the call.
