Fieldsports 155
As the title says "Webley & Scott 20 bore Model 820."Well to cut a very long story short I was owed some money for doing some web design for a mate,I stuck the site up there live and after I met up with my mate I know, he offered me this gun as payment ?Well although it was never discussed it to be honest I kind of took it as payment for the work I have done.Anyways....I thought a crappy used 20b ......well its better than nothing. And it was battered until I revamped it.I have never felt the need or wanted to use a 20b until this happened. So I took it down to my pals place after I got it and showed him.He stood outside in his stockings and yelled loud , a pigeon flew over and bingo it was history.First shot ! 28g..... ( Well that worked ....but he is a good shot mind you. )I thought I just had a gun that was not worth a bottle of POP ( please excuse my language I normally swear at this stage)So I brought it home.....Cleaned it "and I mean had to really clean it"..it was utter filth, Carbon like you have never seen.Ordered a choke key as although he owned it from new he says a choke key was not there.....OK Right, I know.I cleaned it, got a choke key, and the chokes I needed...easy via chambers site.Had a shot at a few local pigeons ! Yes I hit them.....This little toy gun seems OK___________________________________In its defense it has no recoil or very very little. And is as accurate as hell.He gave me some cartridges varying from 24g to 30g loads and now that I have give it a good service it cycles the lot.___________________________________For some strange reason I like the gun ! If I can go as far and say I love the little thing.Maybe my ignorance ( and I am a old timer ) never let me own one ( 20b )BUT Hey what a good thing,Pictures to follow. Quote Link to post
