I'm getting a young whippet pup 5 months and as I have never used a dog for working befor I was just wondering how u brake a dog to a ferret .... And how to get them to mark the warrens .... poacherkev 64 Posted February 9, 2014 Report Share Posted February 9, 2014 Braking the ferret is easy just get them together and make sure they don't bite each other make sure your dog understands the leave it will take time for the dog to cotton on that the ferrets there for him to chase thing and as for marking holes that will only come with time and work but get the pup on finding a dead rabbit that you have hidden he will soon learn the smell and the penny will drop from fresh rabbit smell to old rabbit but it's mainly down to work and time .....good luck Quote Link to post
