Outlaw Pete 2,224
So; I've been picking up the shitty, half soaked, rotten timbers from the " Indoor Shed ", all day. I'm gradually feeding them into my stove ~ where they actually burn surprisingly well, on a bed of nuggets! But, never mind all that. " WTF? He said " Indoor Shed'?! " Yeppers. Ye see; My place is actually two buildings, later stitched together. And the stitching is coming undone. The original stitch created a short, narrow, enclosed space, a bit like a dank, useless wardrobe. Or something. Imagine a single, separate loo. Without an actual loo in it. And twice as 'deep'. I came to call it ~ and treat it as ~ an Indoor Shed. I stuck shit in there that I never really expected to use, or even see, again. Then, over the years, the rain got through the 'roof'. The ceiling timbers rotted out. They finally caved in and I found them on the floor, a year or so ago. Now, of course, I have all these cage traps to get out of my way. They're taking up my bird cage room. I soon worked out that, if I clear the debris from the indoor shed, I can put the traps in there. Cool. But, that's not the bit. See; The 'Store Room' I intend to house my canaries in is also the room where I make my beer. Fermenting beer gives off hellish CO2. Birds are hellish susceptible to air things. Miners didn't watch their canaries like hawks for nothing! And, having just gone to fetch a pint, seeing the next two buckets of beer I put in today. Grinning at my lovely cages. Thinking how I'll soon be moving the traps behind them. I stepped out the door. And there, to my right, were the open doors to the indoor shed. Eureka!!! It came to me! The traps, sacked up and boarded over, against future ceiling collapses. They'll all go into the depth of the space. No problemmo. Then, right there inside the doors? Voila! The ~ on my list! ~ KingSpan chest to cover two fermentation buckets and a tube heater. Thermostatically controlled. Cracked it! Now, I can not only get all those traps out of my way and into storage. I can also ~ at last! ~ remove this niggling doubt and fear that my beer fermenting might gas all my f**king birds! F**k it! Little bit of forethought and my skill at fitting shit into spaces, when I really decide to? I reckon I could easily empty that wasted room into that shed! Think of it; 13' x 7' room. My Bird Room!!! All of it! F**k, yeah! This shit's coming together! I'll sleep with a smile, tonight!
