Edited to add: Not because of the content of the call, but the fact that he made the call for a non 999 matter. While he was holding up that operator someone was trying to get through for a genuine call. TC I love these comments. Has anyone ever phoned 999 on here and found it to be engaged? Tiercel 6,986 Posted January 24, 2014 Report Share Posted January 24, 2014 Baw, As it happens I have had to wait on a 999 call it was around a couple of minutes before they answered, that two minutes could have meant life or death for the old lady I was ringing an abulance for, as it happens we only live a few minutes from the abulance station and 5 minutes from the hospital.
