advice please

hi lads lasies just after abit of advice please i went lamping on monday for the first time this sesion and got a rabbit with my bitch after she had caught

it she drop it come back to me and the rabit ran off which my mates dog got shud i be worried oh just see what happends when i go out tonight thanks

how old is the bitch by the way???

 

 

first lamping session of the season mate........she's bound to be a bit rusty....

 

if it persists...then I would have a re-think. :)

the bitch is 5 years old mate could it have anything to do with useing her with the terrier in the day times [bANNED TEXT] the terrier snaping at her coz she backs down from terrier :hmm:

Err...YES! More dogs are ruined for retrieving by running them with other dogs than anything else! Take her out alone from now on. How long have you had the dog?

quite possibly mate................................especially if she is sumissive towards the terrier.

 

I fecked up like this by having my lurcher pup kennelled with a spaniel.

 

It was only when she started to catch the odd rabbit then to proceed to leg it and eat that I realised what I'd done......created a possession problem that I am tryng to sort out as we speak!.

i have had her since she was six weeks old hope it can be sorted becaus i dont like getting rid of dogs once i have them so thats not an option thanks :signthankspin:

i have her kenneld with my plummer and my other lurcher pup the plummer doesnt bother the pup its just the adult lurcher she does it with :hmm:

split them up then mate...have abit more one one and go back to basics with the retrieving........I know my problem is slightly different although casued by similar circumstances..

 

I am going back to drag rope and rabbit pelt on a dummy.......gonna take a while but its worth if shes is a good un on the norm...bets a luck buddy!
