depending on what its made from. if its pipes then their shouldent be too much to do we used to just rake the crap out of them with draining rods and the flappy paddle type thingy on the end, but if its a real stone one made from natural stone then it may have buckled and caved in a wee bit or been dug by rabbits, what i would do is take the top off and all the foofing tops and try and put it right with out going ott on it so its as "aged " as possible that way it wont take as long to settel down
