A Quick Outing

Recommended Posts

Yesterday me and my lad got up just as the sun was breaking the horizon after a quick cup of tea and some toast we set of to my permission wich is just at the back of my house, we traveled light as the missus had an appointment in a few hours, the idea behind it was that we'd go for a quick mooch and anything my jack russle marked we'd ferret and as soon as we had one for the dog one for the ferrets and one for the table we'd head home. As it turns out the first two warrens we come across seemed less used than usual and the dog showed no intrest so on we whent, the third we encounterd was different the dogs eyes lit up his ears twitched and his stub tail stood on end as he shoved his head in every hole head could find. After about 15 minutes of netting up and about ten minutes rest we entered sox my 3 year old light polecat, who is one evil b**ch when it comes to rabbits, a few minutes passed and then the unmistakable thumping underfoot followed by the squeal's two rabbits bolted, the dog pinned one but he can be a bit rough sometime as he's still a pup, so I jumped on that rabbit unfortunately in the commotion the other Coney sliped the net, but there was still a squealer underground. Soon the squealing stoped and out strolled the ferret looking very pleased with herself, slightly disgruntled I was thinking ill never find that one now as I didn't want to have to renter the ferret and dig because time was running low..... With that the dog entered one of the larger burries and disappeared out of sight but I could hear him yapping and after a bit of help by widening the hole he went down out comes the dog with the rabbit in his mout!!!!!!!! I couldent believe it, the best thing is I caught it all on camera and if I can figure out how will post the vid for you guys to see...... Anyways a couple off hours out two in the bag and a hole lot of excitement, and I was back in time for the misses BEATS WATCHING THE BOX!!!!!!!!
