Guest Leveller
I took the Teckels out today as they haven't really been anywhere other than our farm so far, they've only been off the lead at our place so I bit the Bullett and took them down the lane for a walk the place is in the heart of the Levels it's large flat grazing land and most of the small fields are surrounded by rhynes. I know a spot along the river bank that has the river one side and a rhyne running along side the other so I thought this would be a good spot being surrounded by water. So I unloaded them and proceeded along the river bank where 'Freckle' had got all excited and dived in for a swim :laughbounce2: I didn't mind but the others had winded something over the other side of the river and I didn't want her to hunt it (not this early in the season anyway) so I gave two toots on the horn and she stopped dead turned around and swan back to me. I then made the pack and walked a few yards with them held up behind the whip which they did very well so decided to chill out dropped the whip to my side and let them have a good rake about. These are highly intelligent hunting hounds they never cease to amaze and every moment spent with them is dear to me I still haven't had the whole pack laid on to anything yet, there's plenty of time for that but when that day comes I'll be buzzing for months I'm sure. I came home with all the Teckels and they're all having a sleep in the kennels now so it was 'mission accomplished' as far as their first day out was concerned but I'm sure it won't all be this easy Edited September 7, 2007 by Leveller Quote Link to post

threbb 0
I have three bitches they are 2, 3 and 9 I used to bush with just a small pack of terriers which is great fun but you could always do with more nose so ihave finally got a teckel bitch she is 5months. this is my first after thinking about it for two years. Im hoping she could hold a line longer than aterrier. Is it true you can kennel more than two together? Quote Link to post
