madmac 0
Hec is 22 weeks now and we have been quietly sitting watching the sheep with much concentration on me and very little on the sheep. As he has a lot of collie /kelpie in him I want to make him as sound as possible with sheep before he gets to the one finger age. I really don't want him disappearing after a flock of wooley backs. Any suggestions on how to keep his interest when we build up to walking through them and actually getting them to move? Moving away when they are at a distance is fine but if they ran straight in front I think it might be to much
sandymere 8,263
A good strong no at any sign of intrest, plenty of time around so that sinks in and then encourage intrest in other scents / signs rabbiots etc while in their company. It works for me. Edited September 4, 2007 by sandymere
