luka 8
Had my dog out last night for the first time in the season on the lamp. late start due to picking up an injury on his toe at the start of august. Spent a lot of time just letting it mend. There was plenty of wind around last night and was a good dark night so decided to head of out for an hour when the misses got back from work at 1. wasn't a lot out but managed to get 3 sensible runs witch he missed the first to by over shooting them and throwing everything in to the strike and tumbling witch he dose a lot on short runs. last rabbit in the field was sat right out in the open but had seen a lamp before so was a long slip witch I didn't expect a lot from but thought ide let him have the run. he ran it very well and pushed it out the rushes back in to the open and hit it hard. then retrieved it just as fast as he set off live to hand. didn't want to let go of it so I necked it and let him carry it back to the car. I was over the moon because wasn't sure weather the injury was going to cause lasting problems but no sign of any. he was that happy with him self when I tried to take a picture he just wanted to roll all over it. So wasn't a big catch but am happy he is back running so 1 of many to come. 2 Quote Link to post

Stigodadump 64
Great result! That one in the bag is probably the best of the season. It's always nice to see an injured dog nail his first one again. Good luck mate Quote Link to post
