Joe67 239
Headed upto permission early this morning, wanted to get an early start on some land that i thought could have alot of rabbits. Was still to dark in the woods to start so went walk about to see whats what.Got started about 30 mins later, was a slow start nothing at all happening, tryed about 4 small sets before got some sign of life. On the 5th set i netted up much as i could, there was one exit i couldnt net on the other side of a big fence, place was closed off so had to take a chance... In albino jill goes, 1 min later thump thump thump then i look up see rabbit bolt out on other side on fence, then the albino follows it out. One of those things, so i move on..Some pics of landBird box, not very clear pcitureWould have done this few years ago, motocross tracksFew more sets done and its the albinos turn again, this time shes gone for about 10 minutes, then shows up like this:I really need to use locator! Another rabbit lostAfter many more small sets, nothing happening, about an hour later i net up again this time giving the polcat jill a try, after about 2 minutes thump thump, game on! Rabbit hits the net, trys to run back in were the poly gets hold on it, stick my hand in, pull them both out.Tryed a few more sets, not much happening. Got to the last set of day, few holes on a small hill. Netted up once again and in goes the albino. Didnt hear anything this time, then bang! rabbit hits the net, i dive over and land in lots of nettles and grab the rabbit, albino isnt far behind.Landing spot lolPut the albino away, and gave the poly one last go before i headed home. Few seconds after the poly entered, hear alot of squeeling, nothing bolted, so thats 2 reasons why i should have used locator. So 2 rabbits and i lost 3, alot of walking and netting empty sets but got there in end, no great numbers but a good few hours out ferrting. Cant beat it!! 1 Quote Link to post
