I feed once a day, just before I go to bed. So no chance of running the dog on a full stomach.

Just changed my dogs diet from prize choice mince "pets at home" and beta dried, to raw chicken carcases from the butchers or whole gutted and skinned rabbit/hare or whatever else, with some brown rice (going to change that to just a small amount of pasta or brown bread) and liquidised veg.

Its cheaper for me to feed this way, better for him and his teeth and less shit in the garden. Its a win win.

Exersize will depend on how old your dog is and how active/fit it already is. No good anyone telling you to get your dog out doing 5 miles a day behind a bike if your dog is 12 months old and never been off the lead......

Have a good read of skycats pinned topic with regards to fitness and conditioning http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/298709-fitness-and-conditioning-skycat-running-dog-maintenance/

Cheers.

Rabbits, hare, pheasant, pigeon etc don't cost a penny, the chicken carcases cost me £8.50 for a big 15kg box (frozen) from the butchers, some give them away! I only feed a small amount of rice/pasta and liquidised veg which is cheap anyway.

Opposed to £30/£40 15kg bag of beta dried food and about 80p each for the "prize choice" mince........
