Best Way To Get My Bitch Retrieving

Recommended Posts

Just got my bitch when she was 7 month she's now just turned 12 month so haven't really done much with her just caught her 1st rabbit couple of days ago but didn't kill it.. Just wondering why she won't rag toys, rabbits or anything and what's the best way to get her retrieving thanks

What is her background? Where did she come from and what sort of upbringing did she have? If she was neglected, not necessarily abused or ill treated, but neglected in that she may have been shut in a kennel with no interaction with people, never learned to bond with someone, play, have fun etc, then she'll not have learned anything. She will be institutionalised, retarded in a sense that her brain has not developed properly in the way that most pups do when they play with other pups.

If she has fun with other dogs, but won't interact with you, then she's missed out on human contact. Tell us a bit more about her please.

Yeah would prefer her to keep them alive as doing just wondered about her since I've had her why she won't lock onto a toy thought maybe something wrong with her jaw or mouth but if not its all good :) When i went to collect her she was the only pup left he was going to keep her himself but had no time for her so don't think she played much with pups but she plays well with my terrier. Judging by what you said mate she sounds like she's lost out on human contact definitely. Thanks do you know any tips on getting her more involved.
