T.F.Student 0
The mounts are for a hawke scope...the problem is that the mag cannot be removed from the block as it catches on the underside of the scope...i can rotate the scope so the top click is on the left but would prefer it in the correct position and wondered if you could get/make shims for the scope. mad al 146
I'd say you could make shims, BUT, if they are not a matched pair, then I'd say you'd be playing with a ruined scope. Why not buy a set of higher mounts? I had to on my Pro Sport and they were reasonable, I'll have to dig out the details of where etc if you want..............Al Quote Link to post
Guest king ratcatcher
Youd be better of buying a set of high mounts mate Quote Link to post
stubby 175
I use old negatives mate, as the negative (from ya old photo's) dont compress so you'll get an even spacer both sides or just at front or rear if you need to adjust ya point of impact just cut a few rectangles and give it a go, 1 or 2 will give you around 1mm Quote Link to post
T.F.Student 0
I never thought of higher mounts just thought that they'd do spacers as this must be a regular problem...i like the negatives solution Stubby it might only take a mil so i'll give it a try... otherwise i'll get back to you Al if you don't mind about the mounts. Many Thanks Edited August 27, 2007 by T.F.Student Quote Link to post
Guest Scuba1
Depends on the gun you have, you may be able to take of the scope rails and put a strip on metal under them, get some longer screws to put them back on. That way things will stay nice and in line. HTH Michael Quote Link to post
