A Quick Shine

Recommended Posts

Don't normally start lamping untill end of September but was chatting to one of my neighbours who's got a bit of land around the corner from my house and asked if I could pop roj d to clear a few rabbits for them so I thought stuff it a bit of pre season warm up try and boost the dogs confidence. So me and Brian went out checked the 1st couple of fields we got a few slips but both dogs still beig very green dint catch, headed to the last field and there wer a few rabbits out so we made our way along the hedge and slipped Brian's dog she turned the rabbit a couple of times but rabbit hit the hedge and was gone! We then carried on over to where we last saw the other rabbits switched the light on and about 20 ft in front was a 3/4 grown just quattin Brian's dog was slipped again but over shot the rabbit, not seing the rabbit jump up behind I decided to slip my bitch she ran the beam up the rabbits ass but by then Brian's dog had caught up and both dogs wer on the rabbit both turned it 3 or 4 times before Brian's dog made the catch! Not bad considering its his dogs 1st proper catch on the lamp so he was happy, decided to call it a night and save the rest for when the season starts. Did get a picture but its on Brian's phone so can't share
