iana 25
One of my Jill's has developed what appears to be growth of some sort on the side of her nose. It's a light browny colour and has the appearance of a scab over the top. It's not a wound or anything as its getting bigger. Any help please. Quote Link to post
joe14 98
one of my jills has got something similar. Apart from it hasn't grown. I took her to the vet and they said nothing to worry about its just a wart. Could it be where another ferret as nipped her too hard? I would just get it checked. Quote Link to post

iana 25
Started putting some antiseptic cream on and it seems to be halting the spread so far. Fingers crossed. Quote Link to post
iana 25
Vets is all I can say. Not always the best in my experience, when I took them fr their jabs the young vet had never even seen a ferret before!! He had to look up the dosage in the book and was not confident even holding them!! Quote Link to post
iana 25
Antiseptic cream has definitely done the trick. Swelling right down now returning to normal. Quote Link to post

He had to look up the dosage in the book and was not confident even holding them!! Had my jill implanted yesterday and the vet that done it didn't have a clue about ferrets, had to ask me about which implant to use! Thankfully i'm a forum whore and do my own ferret educating!
