Guest world.hunters
went out last night with rew his dad and bramble and i decided to take storm out for a abit of educating and gave him a couple runs on squatters, as the ground was perfect, we spotted a nice rabbit in the seat i walked storm closer and closer and slipped him he ran it well and put in a good few turns and some nice strikes but it made its refuge through the hedge row, he came straight back to me and we moved on, we then saw another sat up and i slipped him he ran straight in and took it before it had a chance to move, he did not retrieve this time instead he walked around very happy with him self but always stayed with in a few yards of us all, i think it had somethink to do with another dog there and that it was his first catch and i expect he will improve as time goes on, we drove around for abit looking for some more rabbits and bramble had a run showing storm how its done and picked it up with ease. we then spotted another squatter and as storm was still very fresh and due to the light rain fall the ground was very forgiving so i decided to give him 1 last run. i slipped him and he ran down the beem and and the chase was on again the rabbit ran straight towards me but i dont interfere when this happens the bunny made a nice 360 turn but storm stayed with it best as he could but again this one got through the hedge. i was very pround of storm and think he did very well on all 3 runs he has learned alot and got alot more to learn and he is still finding his feet, i think as time goes on he will make a good dog, when i got in i skinned the rabbit and it did not have a mark on it at all which i was pleased with. i will maybe take him out again in about a months time, as i dont want to over do it heres a short video clip, hope you all enjoy W.H Quote Link to post
