FPO 0
Sorry Matey But at that age its never gonne Pick up...... patience might work rather than writing dog off! rescue lurcher that my mum adopted via me didnt know how to play, chase etc, Only took a month of being with my dogs and she love chasing and retrieving balls etc. Ok so it not a hunting dog, but it goes to prove you can teach an older dog new tricks! she is at least 4 years old! IMO working with another dog can sometimes help, but would recomend putting a rabbit skin over a dummy/ favorite toy. Will the dog retrieve toys at all? If not try playing in an area like a side ally or long hallway, so that dog goes down to the end but only place if it wants to play with toy is to come back towards you. plenty of praise when she comes back?
