Fitting Sling/bipod Studs To Aa S510

Im going to fit a pair of studs to my 510, and wondered if anyone had done this then how far from the end of the fore end you have fitted your stud, and also the same for the butt. I intent to fit a bipod and sling.

when i fitted mine mate i just placed where i wanted the bipod to sit and marked up from there, just make sure you take the action out the stock, get the centre of the stock and drill a pilot hole

 

easy job but very satisfying when done

 

good old advice of measure twice so you only need to drill once

 

oh and i forgot to say put a small piece of masking take on then mark ontop, so your drill bit dosnt skip and damage the stock

just to add to Adams post i use a small center punch to mark the drill holes and also a dob of wood glue on the threads prior to fitting studs
