Working blues

It seems the wheaten and staffs were the main draw/trial dogs in ireland. What happened to the kerry blues of that time? Has anyone seen a blue terrier work? I found this website and it got me thinking how the blue terrier fell to the waist side why the wheaten, staffs, and glens kept plugging away. http://home.no.net/gamedog/irish_terrier_trials_.htm

I've also got a book written in the 1920's which mentions the fact that the Kerry had been ruined a long time before the book was written and was then just deemed a show dog.

show people went to work on the kerry blue and f****d up the breed. i'd sat theres still an odd one around thats used for work but they'd be rare.
