ok lads have a springer dog that is a brilliant dog to run cover (for birds) and am looking for a good bitch to use him on but to no avail so am thinking of crossing him off to a terrier of some sort any ideas on which terrier would be ideal,i bought an 8 week old parsonxpaterdale bitch and was thinking that when the time comes i might cross him to her ,im sick of so called cover springers ,so what u think of this cross or should i look at a different breed

i had springer/terrier xs years ago-werent great.A beagle or cocker over a springer is a good cross or maybe there might be someone on here with hound/springer crosses already..I saw a border terrier x springer a few seasons back that was a right good bitch.(she looked like a fullbred border)-what part of limerick are you in.
