I have been using these traps for about 3 years now along with the duffus traps, as a professional mole catcher i have to say that i have had great success with this trap, but like any other tool of the trade it is only used in certain situations.

My main tool is the duffus along with the Talpex, these 2 traps are the main catch traps in my armoury.

Problems with the trapline are;

1. Unless you pin the trap down the mole will ( if not caught properly ) drag the trap back through the tunnel.

2. The spring can sometimes stretch and weaken therefore not getting a clean kill.

3. Unless you know how to place these traps ( like the duffus you will get back fill ) you are going to lose the mole and the trap.

4. At £6-7 a trap it is very expensive to lose these so mark them well, and don"t forget you might have 2-3 traps in one place. These traps are very easy to lose, you have been warned. :rocker:

Allso from a point of veiw of checking the traps,the talpex/duffus or tunnel trap is alot quicker to check,I use these in gardens where they are shoved up the run out the way of kids,for that they are very handy
