Well i fancied a change in my rifle and decided to go down the semi custom road , got in touch with Russ Gall of R.G.RIFLES in aberdeenshire i decided to have my remi 700 blueprinted, have a kreiger barrel pillar beded into my original stock, custom bolt, screw cut for my reflex T8 moderator and some teflon coating on the action and bolt handle, eventualy got the call that Russ need my rifle to start work on,rather than send it a decided to take it up to his place after a five hour trip i arrived at his place after a cuppa and a bit of a crack it was down to bussines he showed me a couple of rifles he built for himself and have to say they were works of art. one had a Mcmillan A5 stock a quick change of mind and i opted to have a A5 instead of my original stock as he had a spare on the shelf, then it was off to the workshop to try a barrel in the stock,i went for a heavier profile because the original one he was going to use didnt look right in the A5, so now it was a kreiger barrel ( 26" 1 in 14 ) pillar beded into the A5 stock, custom bolt with sako extractor , screw cut for a new T4 AR moderator rather than the T8 ,singleshot follower, teflon coat the action, bolt handle and moderator and jewel the bolt body ,new rings laped and scope fitted , then the five hour return home.Received a call monday gone to say rifle was finished , as Russ was traveling to diggle for a benchrest comp at the weekend we decided to meet at services near carlisle to pick up the rifle, first impression i was well chuffed with the work done, after discussing runing in the barrel and using the redding bushing dies it was off home, all that now remains is load and fireform some brass get the sights set up and back in action cant bloody waitdscf0046nx3.jpg
