Guest Scuba1
Well after 3 days they say that they have it under control now, but is those 3 days around 15000 hectar over a length of km have been burned down and the Teno mountains and Masca are no longer  I loved that place. I used to go there for walks and there was a lot of birds and other wild life there. The hot wind that we had over the last 3 days has stopped as well so they have a pretty good chance of getting on top of it now. When that wind was blowing, the fire moved at a rate of around 16 to 20 meters per second, not giving the fire fighters a lot of chances of stopping it even though they have 5 helicopters and a water bombing plane.
